Highly recommended. Kerry’s a great teacher, very patient and the lessons are adapted to my pace. I didn’t think I could start from 0 at this age but it’s possible — and so much fun.

I have picked the piano back up again after not playing for 10+ years. Kerry is a very experienced and friendly teacher. He tailors my lessons so that I get the most out of them. Would highly recommend Kerry as a piano teacher.

With only two weeks’ notice for an audition, Kerry fitted me in for multiple lessons and helped me become more comfortable with my voice. His pitch, transposition and audition advice was excellent and really helpful. Overall amazing!

I’m a complete beginner. Is that OK?

Absolutely. Many students begin with little or no previous experience, and others return after many years away. Lessons start wherever you are now.

Do I have to take exams?

Not at all. Exams can be a useful goal, and Kerry has extensive experience preparing students for them, but learning purely for enjoyment is equally welcome.

Where do lessons take place?

Lessons are held near Dock Street in Leeds city centre, around five minutes’ walk from Leeds railway station. Online lessons are also available.

Do you teach children and adults?

Yes. All ages are welcome. Students under 16 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

How often should I have lessons?

Weekly lessons are common, but fortnightly sessions can work well too. Kerry will help you find a rhythm that suits your goals and commitments.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or moving a lesson. Lessons cancelled with less notice are normally charged.
